Thanks to everyone who turned out to our all-breed practice on Saturday, June 20, at Stilwell Woods in Syosset, N.Y.
Despite the serious soccer traffic and police officers who detoured some of our attendees to park spots in Portugal, we had a wonderful day in the spacious back field.
By and large, the rain held off, we had no equipment issues, and everyone who attended had a lovely time. We had some nice running dogs, including a black poodle who had a penchant for bopping and a hepped-up golden retriever who broke out of his car to rejoin the field.
We also had Afghans, borzoi, greyhounds, a lurcher (Bedlington x whippet cross, which looked like a deerhound puppy), one beefy little IG and Ridgebacks, always Ridgebacks.
